Frequently Asked Questions

Who is Botox® best for?

Botox® is a secure, FDA-approved procedure that has been utilized in medical practice since the 1970s. It is ideal for individuals seeking to reduce the visibility of fine lines and wrinkles without any recovery time.

How long does Botox® last?

The duration of results varies depending on the treatment area and desired outcomes, but you can generally expect them to last around 3-4 months.

What does it feel like?

You might experience a slight pinch at the injection site.

What is the downtime?

Botox® and wrinkle relaxers typically have almost no downtime. You might notice small red bumps at the injection sites that look like bug bites, but these usually disappear within an hour.

Can I get this treatment while pregnant or breastfeeding?

No, this treatment is not recommended for individuals who are pregnant or breastfeeding.

How does pricing work?

We charge “per area” for treatments on the upper face, including the glabella, crow’s feet, and forehead. We have fixed prices for hyperhidrosis (HH), masseter, and lip flip treatments. All other areas are billed per unit.

What is an "area"?

Examples of “one area” include the upper forehead, lower forehead, between the brows, and the corners of the eyes.

I'm currently on antibiotics, am I a candidate for Laser Hair Removal?

Clinical studies have shown that using up to 60 units across 3 areas yields the best results and longest duration. Therefore, each area is priced to include up to 20 units. However, we aim to ensure you achieve your desired look. If you need additional units, they will be charged at $16.25 per unit.

What is in Botox & Wrinkle Relaxers?

Botox and wrinkle relaxers involve injecting microdoses of neuromodulators, or neurotoxins, into specific muscle nerves. These injections temporarily block or freeze the nerve impulses, causing the muscles to relax and thus softening fine lines and wrinkles.

Is it true that Botox and Wrinkle Relaxers can cause an eyelid to sag?

This type of result is exceedingly rare, occurring in less than 0.1% of cases. Though this undesirable outcome is unlikely, it is temporary and can be corrected.

Are there any other side effects I should be aware of?

The most common side effects, though still rare, include headache, minor bruising, or swelling at the injection site.

Can I exercise afterward?

Plan to complete your workout before this treatment. Avoid exercise and other physical activities that cause sweating for 24 hours afterward.

What is a lip flip?

A lip flip involves injecting neuromodulators into the upper lip. This relaxes the muscles that pull the top lip down, causing it to gently “flip” upward and appear fuller.

What is hyperhydrosis?

Hyperhidrosis refers to excessive sweating that isn’t caused by heat or exercise. Botox® and wrinkle relaxers can treat this condition by injecting into the underarm area, which blocks the nerve signals that activate the sweat glands.
