Frequently Asked Questions

Who is Laser Hair Removal best for?

Our laser hair treatment is safe for all skin types and tones; however, it is most effective for individuals with darker hair.

Is Laser Hair Removal permanent?

Laser hair removal isn’t completely permanent, but it greatly reduces future hair growth in treated areas. Any regrowth will be sparse, thinner, and potentially lighter. For optimal results, we suggest maintenance treatments once or twice a year, tailored to your needs. A perfect time for a session is around Memorial Day, to prepare for summer.

What does it feel like?

Although some areas of the body are naturally more sensitive, laser hair removal is generally painless and is often compared to the sensation of a rubber band snapping against the skin.

When will I see results?

Hair starts to fall out about two weeks after your treatment. However, it’s crucial to complete the recommended number of sessions for optimal results. While you’ll notice smoother skin after the first treatment, the hair will regrow. To ensure lasting results, follow the recommended treatment plan. Laser hair removal typically requires 6-10 sessions, depending on hair growth, type, color, and the area being treated. Appointments should be spaced approximately four weeks apart for facial treatments and six weeks apart for body treatments.

Can I get Laser Hair Removal if I'm pregnant?

We advise against undergoing laser hair removal during pregnancy.

Can my teenager get Laser Hair Removal?

We cannot provide treatment to individuals under 16 years old and require parental consent for those aged 16 and 17.

What's the downtime?

There’s virtually no downtime—you can return to work or your daily routine immediately. However, you may experience some redness afterward and should avoid direct sunlight for one week.

I'm currently on antibiotics, am I a candidate for Laser Hair Removal?

If you are on antibiotics for an illness, you can resume laser hair treatment two weeks after completing your course.

I have melanin-rich skin. Is this treatment safe for me?

Absolutely! We use the gold standard Nd:Yag 1064 laser for hair removal on melanin-rich skin. This device targets only the melanin in the hair, not the skin itself, making it safe for all skin tones, especially those with higher melanin levels.
